So... life has been a whirlwind this past week. Even though it was a short week, it seemed to go on for years. And, so much happened. One of our sweet students at the school had a freak soccer accident and is in the hospital (check at http://joyportis.blogspot.com/) and I am praying for her constantly. One of our teachers had a baby, they are both struggling. The baby, last I heard is having seizures and they cannot figure out why... the mom has high bp and they can't get it to stay down. Pray for the Puckett's. And... some of my students have forgotten what it means to have a Christ like attitude, and how to treat others with the love and grace of Christ.
BUT, this weekend, has been good.... thus far. Leaving home at 10 AM I went to the nursing home this morning with a few of my favorite people in the whole wide world, got a hairs cut, went to the site of the Extreme Makeover Home Addition here in Montgomery, and didn't get home until 10 pm.... Good times.
Tomorrow I plan to join First Baptist Church.... and then waiting on a great adventure as I get plugged in there. It will be nice to have a church home again.
But all this to say... I love life.... more each day... but realize, it can all change in a moment of time. I, as a Christian, must be responsible for my own actions, leaving behind a legacy of purity, love, and respect for myself , those beside me, and those that will come behind me!
